When To Start Planning Your Wedding

Wedding planning starts even before you got engaged. This is specially true for couple who have found their partner in life or are serious to each other. Some couples start to discuss their wedding 3 or 4 years before the actual wedding. This is mostly due to the pressure of societal standard on the "perfect wedding" especially to the high class society where reputation and showmanship is very much a big deal. For others, they have an ample time to search for ideas to incorporate into their wedding day planning.

The average time to complete a wedding plan is about 4 - 6 months but usually takes longer if both the couple are into the intricate details. It would also be best if you start wedding planning a year before the date you have chosen. Although getting married while being pregnant is already accepted, there are many couples who wait for their child to be born and turn two or three years old before they settle down. There are a lot of reason for this, the most common is considering how the bride looks in her wedding dress while having a bulging tummy. For some women, that's not an ideal wedding picture.

There are many things to consider in wedding planning, but there are three things that have utmost importance of them all.

1. Wedding Day Planning. The wedding day plan is a schedule of all the activities that will take place on that day. It start from waking up of the bride and groom to doing their daily routine and finally getting started with the wedding preparations. It is important to have wedding coordinators and wedding planners at your service on this day, because it is the most stressful day of all and you don't want to absorb all the negative energies of having to worry on the turn out of the occasion.

2. Think of your Guests. Wedding planning is not just about you and your lover getting married but also you have invited other people, your family and friends to witness your vow to each other. Romantic and grand as it may seem, never let your guests wait while you bask in the lights of the camera in your wedding decorations and set up. This has become a trend in the wedding industry. When people arrive in the reception area, guests are not allowed to enter until the photo session with the function set up is done. An alternative to this is to have a separate area to which you will have you photos taken while the guests are seated in the function hall.

3. Have a Checklist. The most important tool in any plan is the written checklist. It will serve as a guide to what is lacking, and what not's. There are many free and downloadable checklist in the internet that you can customize according to your needs. Use the power of the internet to achieve the ideal wedding you want.

It should not be as painful as it sounds. Just try to relax and enjoy the process. In every step in the wedding plan, always  try to chill and breathe in and out. Don't stress yourself too much in the details. After all, weddings are not about the details that people see. Weddings are all about celebration and people celebrate. It has nothing to do about the decorations and flowers or dresses. Remember, just be happy and make others happy during the most magical and celebrated occasion in your life - your wedding day.

Something New Something Bamboo?

It's the month of March and it's the time for Spring themed and Summer themed weddings. Just recently, we orchestrated a very beautiful garden mountain-view Christian wedding. The couple has chosen the very bright colors of Orange and Aqua Blue combination. Indeed, as bright as the wedding motif are the happy and eager faces of the guests.

The modern day weddings are all about themes and motifs. Mostly the bride settles all the decisions in choosing the little details of the wedding but the trends are changing as time goes by. More and more grooms are getting down and becoming an active part of the wedding planning and preparations.

As an event planner, my job is to assist you of the best possible way to achieve your ideal wedding without leaving out the little details. I can assist you from head dress to invitation designs to flower arrangements and down to the dinner wares. Speaking of dinner ware,  there's an increasing number of wedding enthusiasts and soon-to-be married couples getting into unique dinner wares. While restaurants have already their standard wedding plates, there are still many options to explore that you may have not heard before.

I came to know Restaurantware.com  which is a website that offers unique and never before seen plate designs, biodegradable tableware and so much more. You might think that they only supply to elegant function halls, caterers and restaurants, but they also cater to the creative side of the bride and groom.

For Asian inspired weddings, restaurantware.com is offering bamboo disposables that are earth-friendly as they are all biodegradable. For the high class elegant weddings, they have plates and other kitchen wares that match just the right class and essence the event demands.

Some couples may think that it's overly fancy and expensive to avail table wares when the restaurant or caterers have already their own set of plates used for the wedding. Well, on that matter I think that having your own signature designs and concept for your own wedding creates a more unique experience to the guests especially that these days weddings have become almost the same concept. After all, your wedding is a celebration of friends and family gathering together for your vow of forever love, it would surely leave a lingering mark on how beautiful and organized your wedding had been with all the details in place. The advantage of having your own unique dinner wares used in your wedding is that your can store them and reuse them for future events in your life together after the wedding.

Just think about the fun-filled festive occasion of your wedding leaving the guests' at awe with the uniqueness and fresh concepts you've intricately included in the entire wedding planning scheme.

Personally, I would love to incorporate these new ideas to the upcoming events whether weddings or other special events. The wedding guests will surely enjoy the food as they are also enjoying the unique plates and platters presented to them.

Your wedding celebration is a reflection of the two of you as a couple. Make every detail count.
